A 41-year old woman named Mary Kulele hailing from Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State was caught at a hospital in Akwanga where she went incognito into the hospital pretending to be a nice woman by selflessly helping pregnant women. According to sources, she confessed to abducting the baby from the ward when the mother took her clothes somewhere in the hospital compound to wash. She was caught soon after a nurse raised an alarm over her suspicious presence in the hospital. Although the baby was recovered in good health, the angry youth in the area took laws into their hands, dealing her jungle justice and went on to lynched her. Two lovers, Tunde Ogunseye and Funmilayo Oyelaja, have been arrested for allegedly hacking into the federal government’s National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) account and stealing N60 million from it. The suspects, who had been on the police wanted list, were said to have fled to Ghana when the lid was blown on their act. The police alleged that Oyelaja took advantage of being an employee of Clearline International Limited, a health maintenance organization (HMO) based in Lagos, to hack into the account. At the Lagos police headquarters, Ikeja, where the two suspects were paraded on Wednesday, Oyelaja, a mother of two, told journalists, “I worked with Clearline International Limited from 2014 to early 2019. "What we do there is that we act as the middleman between the NHIS and hospitals. Victor Ojionu, a 30-year-old electrical engineering graduate, has told security agents that during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) he bought two buildings for N125 million. Ojionu, who graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), said he became an internet fraudster in 2015, during his NYSC in Calabar, Cross Rivers State. He said: “I learnt the internet fraud business in 2015 during my NYSC days in Cross Rivers State. I bought a house worth N60 million from the deal before I relocated to Abuja, where I bought another house for N65 million. “What I do is mainly on the Alibaba site, where I trade with hacked credits cards.  I buy my goods in China and sell them in Ghana. A girl of about seven years old and a 53 -year - old man have been confirmed dead after fire gutted two buildings on Ogunmokun Street , in the Mushin area of Lagos State . Our correspondent gathered that the fire started around 3 pm after the girl lighted a gas cooker , which later exploded . A resident , Ewatomi , who spoke to our correspondent from the scene of the incident , said as of 5 pm, the fire was still raging . She said , “ The fire started from a three -storey building and it has spread to the two -storey building beside it . The houses are too close to each other . Nobody could go upstairs to rescue anybody because smoke covered everywhere . “ The fire service did not show up until one hour after the incident . Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has revealed that the Federal Government’s policies and programmes aimed at promoting financial inclusion remain key to the actualization of President Muhammadu Buhari’s promise of lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
