Lack of Sexual Desire

The basis for this week ’ s essay is the serious story of a young woman , now 30 years old who lamented in several different messages about her profound lack of sexual stimulation despite going out of her way to actually seek a solution to the problem . She has a healthy attraction to the male gender but nothing more ; the combination of experiences and the lack of sexual fulfillment left her broken and in tears when we finally met . Now , there is a tendency towards depressive illness which would be a different kettle of fish . Without being a doctor or psychologist, it is easy to see where all this is leading . The negative experiences are so severe that she has been unable to function at work and even had to give that up at some point . And that is happening in an economy as parlous as ours. Salary of proposed 30,000 recruits into Army, Police, others not captured in MTEF/FSP — NASS Panel

The joint National Assembly Committee on Finance and National Planning on Thursday submitted its report on the 2020 - 2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper to the Senate at plenary . The report noted that the Federal Government did not capture the salaries of the 30 , 000 personnel it is planning to recruit into the Army , Police , and other paramilitary agencies next year , in the documents . Presenting the report , the Chairman , Senate Committee on Finance , Solomon Adeola , also said the joint panel recommended the adoption of $ 57per barrel as crude oil benchmark . He also said it reduced borrowings with over N 200 because of the expected revenue from the Nigerian Customs Service . The report increased the proposed total estimated expenditure of the Federal Government from N 10,002 tn to N 10,729.4tn. The debate on the report is ongoing as of the time of filing this report... Flood Kills Polytechnic Graduate While Controlling Traffic in Asaba

A middle age man fell into a manhole as rampaging flood swept him away into Anwai River in Asaba, the Delta State capital. The polytechnic graduate identified as Chinedu Igboke was said to have been controlling traffic at the Akpo junction along Okpanam road on Monday evening when he mistakenly stepped into an uncovered drain and fell into the gutter. The flooding, which was as a result of the torrential rain that pounded the capital city throughout the day, rendered many people homeless. It was gathered that the deceased who was in his thirties, hailed from Ebonyi State, and was working as a security guard in a private school along Shekinah Love Assembly Street, off Ralph Uwechue Way, Okpanam Road, Asaba. Truck driver dies, two rescued during collision with Dangote truck

A yet - to - be - identified driver has died after he rammed his truck into a stationary Dangote truck at the Kyakyama axis of the Lagos - Ibadan Expressway on Thursday . The driver was said to be driving inbound Lagos when he lost control of the truck and ran into the Dangote truck that was parked by the side of the road around 4am . Three people were involved in the accident , while the injured victims were taken to the Victory Hospital , in Ogere Remo, for treatment , the remains of the driver were deposited at the FOS Mortuary in Ipara , Ogun State . Emergency responders to the scene of the accident were officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps , Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps , and men from the Ogere Police Division in the state . Repentant bandits invade Zamfara community, loot food items, give residents 20,000 as compensation

There was a serious tension in Kwanar Mayanci, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, on Wednesday as a large number of gunmen who came on motorcycles invaded the community. According to eyewitness’ accounts, the villagers began to run away, thinking that they were Boko Haram elements ready to strike. One of the residents said that the suspected armed bandits made away with many food items and some jerry cans containing petrol, which belonged to roadside vendors of petrol in the town. Sani noted that the heavily armed men mostly youths told villagers not to be afraid as they were not there to kill any of them in the village. Speaking further, he explained that the leader of the alleged armed bandits gave the sum of N20,000 and asked those whose valuables were carried away by his boys to share for compensation. The eyewitness said that the hoodlums occupied the Gusau-Sokoto road for over half an hour and before they zoomed away with their motorcycles towards the forest....

Ondo evangelist arraigned for lying against church

The Ondo State Police Command , on Wednesday, arraigned an evangelist , John Abiodun , before a magistrates ’ court sitting in Akure for allegedly swearing a false affidavit . Abiodun , who is a former member of the Promised Land Prophetical Ministry , located in the Shasha area of Akure , was accused of lying against the founder of the church, Pastor Gbenga Akinbiyi , in an affidavit he swore before the Commissioner for Oaths . The church alleged that Abiodun lied that the pastor buried some fetish items in the altar area , but when the police dug the altar , they did not find anything fetish. As a result , Abiodun was arraigned on three counts bordering on falsehood. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says that Mr Realwan Okpanachi, a constitutional lawyer in Abuja, can not waive his immunity. On Monday in Abuja, the legal practitioner told NAN that the only effective way for Osinbajo to waive his immunity “if he sincerely wants to do so is to resign from his position as vice president.” “He can not stay in office and waive his immunity as the immunity is connected to that office and not to his individual,” said the lawyer. Okpanachi responded to the declaration credited to the vice president that he would waive his constitutional immunity to clear his name from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) of the N90 billion that he supposedly earned. Woman burns 7-year-old Stepdaughter’s Private Parts with Charcoal

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Borno State has arrested a 38-year-old woman, Hauwa Adamu, who allegedly dropped flaming charcoal in the private parts of her seven year-old stepdaughter 😮. The NSCDC Commandant, Mr Abdullahi Ibrahim, told a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Maiduguri that the woman was arrested in the Moduganari area of Maiduguri. He said that the case was reported to the command by "Good Samaritans". Ibrahim revealed that Adamu allegedly meted out horrible acts of punishment on the minor, over what she called disobedience. According to him, preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect subjected the girl to different forms of abuse. Ibrahim said that the girl was put under the suspect’s care sequel to the separation of her parents. He added that the case had been transferred to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, for further investigation and action.

Liverpool Avoid Being Thrown Out of Carabao Cup

Liverpool have avoided being kicked out of the Carabao Cup as the Reds were fined £200,000 for fielding an ineligible player in their third-round tie with Milton Keynes Dons. Pedro Chirivella played in that match, a 2-0 Liverpool win, despite having not received international clearance after the expiry of his loan last season with Spanish club Extremadura Union Deportiva. There were fears that the Reds would be expelled from the competition after the EFL opened an investigation into the matter last week. However, the EFL has ruled that Liverpool would only be fined, not expelled, "because of a number of mitigating factors." "The board noted that the club had sought the assistance of the Football Association in securing the return of the international clearance prior to the start of this season," an EFL statement read.

Nigerians sentenced to 1,000 years in Ghana –Umahi

The Ebonyi Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, on Tuesday said some Nigerians had been sentenced to between 500 and 1,000 years’ imprisonment in Ghana and other countries. The governor added that the inordinate pursuit of wealth and devaluation of the Nigerian culture by Nigerians had sent many of them out of the country to where they were launguishing in pains and “crying had I known.” The governor stated this on Tuesday at the 59 Independence Day anniversary at the Pa Uruta Ngele Township Stadium, Abakaliki. He said, “The way we are being treated outside the shores of this country should make us to evaluate ourselves. “I get a lot of phone calls from people in Ghana saying that a lot of our people were sentenced to 500 and some 1,000 years’ in imprisonment.”
